Connect a carrier account

Carrier accounts let Orderly quote rates, schedule pickups, and (where the carrier supports it) produce labels using your negotiated rates. Manage them under Carrier Accounts.

Open Carrier Accounts

Three carriers are supported today:

FedExyesyesyesyesGuided verification (MFA)
EasyPostyesnoyesyesAPI key
ColdTrackyesnononoAPI key

UPS, USPS, and DHL are not connectable yet. They appear only as tracking deep-links on shipments.

Add an account

Click Add Account and pick a carrier. Every account starts with two fields:

  • Account Name, a label to tell accounts apart, for example "FedEx East".
  • Test Environment. Leave it on to use the carrier's sandbox (no real shipments or charges) while you set things up. Turn it off for production.

EasyPost and ColdTrack (API key)

Paste the carrier's API Key and click Connect Account. Orderly validates it as part of connecting. You can re-check any time with Test credentials on the account card.

FedEx (guided verification)

FedEx requires a short verification flow. Click Continue to Verification and work through the steps:

  1. Register with your account number, account holder name, and the address on the account.
  2. Accept the FedEx EULA. Scroll to the bottom of the agreement to enable the checkbox, then accept.
  3. Choose a verification method: Email, SMS, or Phone Call (you get a code), or Invoice Verification.
  4. Verify by entering the code, or (for invoice) the invoice number, date, and amount.

On success the account shows Verified and is ready to rate and schedule pickups.

Manage accounts

Each account card shows its status, whether it is Test or Production, and capability chips (Rating, Pickup, Labels). From the card you can:

  • Test credentials to confirm the connection still works.
  • Edit to rename the account or rotate credentials. Leave a credential field blank to keep the existing value.
  • ⋯ → Remove Account to disconnect it.
