Use the Operations board to understand whether the network is keeping pace and where intervention is needed.

The board brings together:

  • network throughput and on-time performance,
  • exceptions grouped by type,
  • average transit time,
  • at-risk shipment value,
  • carrier reliability,
  • facility and hub dwell hotspots.

Run a daily operations review​

  1. Check throughput and on-time movement against the previous period.
  2. Review exception volume and identify the fastest-growing category.
  3. Prioritize high-value at-risk shipments in the Intervention Queue.
  4. Compare carrier reliability before changing routing or allocation.
  5. Open the Network Map when a hub or lane needs geographic context.

Financial · CFO​

Use the Financial board to see how carrier performance affects transportation cost, service commitments, and customer margin.

The board includes:

  • carrier spend against forecast,
  • SLA-credit exposure,
  • cost per shipment,
  • the estimated cost of late delivery,
  • refund risk,
  • spend by carrier,
  • lane profitability.

Run a weekly financial review​

  1. Compare spend with forecast and confirm the selected reporting period.
  2. Review SLA-credit exposure and identify claims that need supporting evidence.
  3. Compare cost per shipment across carriers and service levels.
  4. Investigate high-cost lanes with poor reliability.
  5. Record routing, contract, or customer-pricing decisions for follow-up.

Read the numbers confidently​

  • Keep the organization and date window consistent when comparing periods.
  • Read percentages beside shipment volume; small samples can move quickly.
  • Treat forecast and exposure values as decision support, then confirm final invoice and contract amounts before taking financial action.
  • Use Carrier Performance and Network & Lane Health to investigate the operational cause behind a change.

If a board is empty​

Confirm that the selected organization has shipment, tracking, and cost data for the chosen period. Clear filters, refresh the page, and check Orderly status if data that was previously visible is unavailable.
